BBA Finance student at UW–Milwaukee focused on equity research and the search for abnormal returns across markets and sectors. Graduating May 2027 and seeking full-time finance roles.
See my workI'm a BBA Finance student at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where I'm also completing the Investment Management Certificate Program. What pulled me into investing is the hunt for abnormal returns — the premise that with enough work on a business, you can find something the market hasn't priced correctly yet, in any sector or any corner of the market cap spectrum.
Most of my work so far has come through research reports and competitions: writing sell-side style coverage, pitching ideas to analysts and defending them to professors, and helping run a long/short portfolio. I follow the financials sector most closely and spend a lot of time in small-cap growth, where the research gap tends to be widest and the work actually moves the needle.
Outside of markets, I run, lift, cook, and watch more films than I can justify.
Research reports, stock pitches, and competitions. Each piece shows how I think through a problem, not just where I landed.
A solo sell-side style initiation on Snap-on rating it a Buy at $354 with a $375–400 target. Built on comparable company analysis, a three-stage DCF, and multiple regression, with the thesis resting on rising vehicle complexity driving recurring diagnostics revenue. I presented the report to sell-side analysts and defended it to my professors.
A three-person pitch rating POWL a Buy at $304.30 with a $332.05 target, built on electrical infrastructure demand from data centers, utilities, and domestic oil & gas capex. The stock cleared our target comfortably in the months after, though the pitch didn't win the competition.
A sell-side M&A case for Apex Athletica, an athleisure company deciding what to do with a customer data platform it had bought for $200MM in 2020. Our team recommended a clean $170MM divestiture to a strategic buyer over a joint venture that required $24MM more capital and a five-year runway.
Recommended a horizontal acquisition in a quantum computing M&A case, underwriting it to a 2.1x MOIC and 29% IRR. Built the operating and DCF models and made the equity financing decisions, supported by real-world precedents.
Helped manage a long/short portfolio of more than eighty names. Alongside stock selection, I owned rules compliance for the team, which advanced to the final round.
A self-directed branding exercise: logo design, a color and type system, and a set of print-ready research report templates built from scratch and used for my own coverage.
